The pub is the social hub for all types of folk, a great place to meet people and a place where you can enjoy those things that just are not the same at home. Real ale, live music or an heated debate about politics with a stranger and such.

Why then are there so many pubs closing down? Are we in danger of losing a part of British culture?

Here at the Rumsey, we are doing everything we can to buck that trend. With a 'hats off' nod to pub culture of the past we dont look back and wish it was the way it used to be. Instead we are looking forward  to what pub culture is heading towards. This is a new generation of boozer folks.

Considering ourselves a forward thinking bunch, with a fine selection of premium only booze, wasting no time with cheap imitations. Up to seven real ales on and a good selection of foreign beers. A simple and seasonally influenced menu that avoids old fashioned pub grub and resembles good British home cooking instead. Regular live music and a selection of DJs that actually care and take pride in their collection.

We also hope to set ourselves apart with customer service that you deserve, delivered by staff that actually care about the drinks they are serving and equally will make you feel welcome what ever your tipple.

Take a look at our menus perhaps?
